ADDICTION - STRESS - IRRATIONAL FEARS

MOVETHEMOOD™
We don't take the habits away. We make them unnecessary.
Whether you’re in recovery, managing those urges and compulsions or living with destructive patterns that overwhelm you, then what I offer may be of interest.
Addiction and other destructive habits have a specific job. That job is to distract and protect you from feelings you don't want to feel.
My process combines specific techniques and modalities designed to disrupt those underlying patterns (reasons for using), enabling you to move in a direction you prefer with calm confidence.
My approach is practical, compassionate, and grounded in real experience. Clinical Hypnotherapy and Havening Techniques® are at the core of my practice.
This work is gentle and powerful. The results I’ve seen across all ages and backgrounds, including myself, have been consistently positive.
Rather than fighting symptoms, we resolve the feelings that made them necessary.

Approaching yourself Differently

Recovery Program
PURGE THE URGE
This process is designed for individuals already in recovery who want additional private support.
This support strengthens progress in resolving those compulsive behaviours where substances have been used to manage emotional pain.
Whether you’re navigating cravings, urges, mood swings or even the day‑to‑day challenges of maintaining sobriety, the process I offer is simple, gentle, natural and effective.
My experience within this area includes working with people in safe houses and structured recovery environments, always with compassion and respect for the journey you’re on.

UNHELPFUL HABITS
For those ready to change unhelpful or destructive habits, such as overeating, smoking, chocolate cravings, or other self-sabotaging patterns, without forcing or fighting yourself, this process offers a different way forward.
Rather than relying on willpower or self-criticism, we address the emotional drivers beneath the behaviour.
It’s not about battling “bad” habits; it’s about creating new ones. Ones that you prefer. Habits that feel healthier, natural, sustainable, and aligned with who you prefer to be.

STRESSORS
This process is designed for those who need to function at a high level mentally, emotionally and/or physically without carrying the emotional cost and associated unhelpful habits.
I show and guide you in releasing stored pressure, anxiety, and emotional overload, creating space for clarity, confidence, calm, and groundedness.
By changing how you feel, you change how you think and decide, which in turn influences the direction everything else takes. Everything begins to move.
THE PROCESS THAT GETS RESULTS
Gently, naturally, effectively
1. Reveal the Mood
We identify the emotional patterns running and fuelling those thoughts, behaviours and reactions.
2. Feel the Mood
We gently bring awareness to the emotional state as it is experienced in the body, creating safety and presence before any change takes place.
3. Move the Mood
We gently release stored emotional charges using 1 or a combination of Havening Techniques®, Clinical Hypnotherapy, and/or other natural processes.
4. Use the Mood
I show clients how to access, respond and create preferred outcomes from this new emotional baseline, so change becomes natural and sustainable.

TESTIMONIALS
ABOUT NICHOLA
I specialise in addiction recovery, irrational fears and stressors, helping people who are living with overwhelming stress, anxiety, or long-standing emotional patterns that no longer serve them.
Many of the people I work with already understand why they feel the way they do, yet still struggle to change how they feel. My approaches help the body and nervous system settle, enabling emotional responses to shift/move , rather than simply being managed or coped with.
At the core of my practice are Havening Techniques® and Clinical Hypnotherapy. I use these approaches to help clients release the emotional drivers that can fuel addictive urges, anxiety and stress.
This work matters to me because I know what it’s like to search for ways to change the way I’m feeling, instead of learning to cope with it. Over the years, this search has shaped the way I work today: using techniques and approaches that are natural, gentle, effective and respectful of each individuals pace.
My personal motto was , and still is , “If there’s an easy way to feel relief, I will find it.”
Currently, Havening Techniques® is at the top of my list!
My experience includes working with individuals in recovery, funded work for the local council supporting people experiencing isolation, working with women in safe-house settings, and supporting private clients, both one-to-one and in groups. I also work with teenagers and, when appropriate, younger clients.
My approach is relaxed, supportive and down-to-earth. Therapy doesn’t have to feel heavy or intimidating, and progress doesn’t have to mean reliving painful experiences.
I believe that creating a sense of safety is where meaningful change begins.
Alongside my client work, I also help facilitate Havening Techniques® training for practitioners and professionals who prefer to add trauma-aware skills to their own practice.
